Piccoli grandi sogni
Immagina un mondo sfocato in cui anche solo leggere cosa è scritto alla lavagna è un’impresa difficilissima.
Huge little dreams. Imagine a world out of focus where even reading what is written on the blackboard seems impossible.
E ora immagina non sapere che sia possibile vederci bene. Quante delle nostre 500 bimbe si trovano in questa situazione? E’ proprio quello che con questo progetto vorremmo scoprire per regalare loro la possibilità di vederci bene e di vivere e studiare in maniera ottimale. Chiaramente è un progetto enorme che richiede grande organizzazione, impegno e fondi. Dopo il campus dentistico di 2 anni fa sappiamo già come muoverci perciò oggi io e Deepu siamo andati al Mittal Hospital di Ajmer dove siamo stati accolti calorosamente. L’oculista è stato molto gentile e disponibile e si è mostrato interessatissimo al nostro progetto quindi abbiamo cercato di capire insieme come è meglio organizzarci visto che le bimbe sono così tante! L’idea è di far fare ad ogni bambina una visita oculistica completa e da lì stabilire caso per caso come procedere. Poi abbiamo parlato con il responsabile dell’ufficio amministrativo che nei prossimi giorni ci invierà un preventivo così potremo ufficialmente iniziare l’organizzazione e la raccolta fondi. Questo è un progetto che mi sta particolarmente a cuore e sono certa che con l’aiuto dei nostri sostenitori riusciremo a regalare a tante bimbe un mondo “a fuoco”.

Clearly it is a huge project that requires organization, dedication and funds. After the dental camp we did 2 years ago we know now to handle the situation so today Deepu and I went to the Mittal Hospital in Ajmer where we were warmly welcomed. The oculist was very kind and helpful and he seemed very interested in our project so together we tried to understand how to organize everything in the best way possible since the girls are so many! The idea is to give each one a complete eye examination and from there decide for each case how to proceed. Then we talked with the responsible of the administration office that in the next days will give us an estimate of the costs so we will be able to officially start organizing and collecting funds. This project is very dear to my heart and I am sure that with the help of our supporters we will give many girls the gift of a world “in focus”.
