Primo giorno di scuola che emozione!!!
La mattina è iniziata presto con una visita all’ufficio della fondazione dove ho potuto riabbracciare con grande piacere Deepu e Bittu. Poi dritti a scuola insieme a Mara dove durante l’intervallo ho chiacchierato e giocato con le nostre bimbe. Che dire è tutto l’anno che aspetto di rivederle e in particolare Isha che sostengo a distanza e con cui ho un legame davvero speciale, infatti appena mi ha visto mi è corsa incontro e mi ha guardato a lungo con i suoi occhioni quasi che non riuscisse a credere che fossi veramente lì.
First day of school, how exciting!! The day started early with a stop at the office of the foundation where I was very happy to hug again Deepu and Bittu. Then straight to school with Mara where during the break I chatted and played with our girls. I’ve been waiting all year to see them again in particular Isha, the girl I sponsor and with whom I share a very special bond, in fact as soon as she saw me she ran towards me and kept staring at me with her big eyes as if she couldn’t believe I was really there.
Erano tutte emozionate per la mia presenza, ed io più di loro!! Sono rimasta colpita da quanto molte si ricordassero di me dall’anno scorso e delle altre volontarie Alice e Michela delle quali hanno chiesto subito notizie e si sono dispiaciute non fossero li con me. E’ stato stupendo vedere come tutte sono cresciute in quest’anno ed anche conoscere le nuove piccoline.
They were all very excited, and I more than them!! I was happily surprised by how many remembered me from last year and the other volunteers Alice and Michela, they also asked me news about them and were upset to know they weren’t there with me. It was amazing to see how they all have grown this year and also meeting the new little ones.
Sono molto felice di dire che da lunedì farò delle classi di informatica per insegnare loro le basi dell’uso del pc. Tornando da scuola insieme a Mara ho avuto il piacere di parlare e conoscere le storie di alcune persone ed è sempre un’esperienza forte da cui si esce arricchiti. In particolare sono rimasta colpita da Vishnu un ragazzo che si trova su una sedia a rotelle poiché anni fa dopo una brutta caduta da un albero non ha ricevuto immediate cure mediche, grazie alla fondazione ora la sua situazione è molto migliorata ed ha anche una casa sua. A stupirmi è stato il sorriso con cui ci ha accolte e lo spirito che ha verso la vita nonostante i forti dolori che deve sopportare.
I am very happy to say that Monday I will start giving computer classes to teach them the basics of pc work. Leaving the school with Mara I had the pleasure to talk to some people and get to know their stories, it is always a strong experience that teaches you a lot. In particular I was touched by Vishnu, a young man that is on a wheelchair because after falling from a tree years ago he didn’t not receive medical attention, now thanks to the foundation he is doing a lot better and he even has his own house. The thing that surprised me the most though was the smile he welcomed us with and the attitude he has towards life, all despite the strong pain he has to endure every day.
Bisogna veramente prendere come esempio le persone che nonostante le difficoltà e sventure che la vita gli ha portato continuano a combattere ed andare avanti. Nel pomeriggio invece con l’aiuto del fantastico Bittu ho svolto delle commissioni per AFLIN. Non vedo l’ora si lunedì per tornare a scuola e rivedere le bimbe!!!
We really need to take as an example people that despite the difficulties and hardships life brings them keep fighting and moving on. In the afternoon with the great help of Bittu I ran some errands for AFLIN. I can’t wait for Monday to come and to see the girls again!!
